Our establishment
In the town of Auritz-Burguete in Navarre, Hotel Restaurant Loizu is an establishment with over 200 years of history.
Located right on the Pilgrims’ Route to Santiago, it has been used as an inn for pilgrims since the 18th century.
Hotel loizu is very close from Irati Forest and Roncesvalles.
The hotel was completely restored in the course of thorough and careful reforms carried out in 1995, maintaining the traditional architectural elements. The result is a modern establishment adapted to the challenges of the 21st century while in turn preserving the flavour of yesteryear.

HOTEL LOIZU accommodates up to 54 people, has 27 bedrooms, 26 doubles with a full bathroom, and 1 single with a shower. All the bedrooms have telephone and TV, 8 of them have a terrace. 6 extra folding beds, if required.

Useful tourist information
From France or from Spain, through the Pyrenean ports of Ibañeta and Mezquiriz respectively, the fields of Burguete extend. Among the fields, cattle, pine and oak forests, their inhabitants live far away from the noises of the city. Their quiet, peaceful character wins over the thousands of tourists this small village receives every year.
It is a peaceful place thanks to its contact with nature, history and tradition, as there are many activities for the visitor in this area of Navarra. Ask the hotel staff about the activities you may participate in. In areas such as the Selva de Irati (Irati jungle), the largest extension of beech and fir trees in Navarra, the Alto de Ibañeta or the famous Gobarbide pigeon hunting grounds, you will find the appropriate place to enjoy any of these activities.
Let us not forget the historic-religious connection between all these surroundings and the famous Camino de Santiago (pilgrimage), especially Roncesvalles, where we find La Colegiata, one of the most important Cultural Properties of Navarra.
Burguete is not only the appropriate place to find and get in touch with nature; its proximity to France opens a wide range of tours to the neighbouring country. Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port, Biarritz or Baiona, where you may buy everything you need, and also breathe the sea breeze and bathe in the Cantabrian waters.
